Does it need an electrician?
Yes. The Home Power Panel and sub panel wire into your home's electrical system and must be installed by a licensed electrician. The F3800 Plus itself needs no installation.
Is the switchover automatic?
Yes. In Auto Home Backup mode, Anker says the Home Power Panel moves your backed-up circuits from the grid to the F3800 Plus in under 30ms.
Will it work with my generator?
Yes. Anker supports 240V pure-sine gas generators. With the Home Power Panel, connect the generator to one of the panel's power station ports for up to 6,000W (240V) of generator power.
