I am fairly confident in my abilities to the DIY projects. Mr Cool systems are fairly easy to install, but there are some things that can wreck your day if you are not careful. I highly recommend watching several YouTube videos before attempting this, it saved me time and reduced my mistakes down to a minimum. I’m surprised that there aren’t detailed instructions from the manufacturer. There are some, but they are more fashioned towards the easy process and does not go i to more detail. Thankfully there are pretty good videos from other DIYers that filled in the gaps. Overall the process was simple and saved me over $3500 that was quoted to me to just install the 2 zone unit. Powered up the unit yesterday and all is running well.

I also shortened the power supply line so that there was not a huge rolled up black cable outside. Dont do this if you dont have the connectors that are on the ends. You can gets these at a hardware store for a few $$.

My one big complaint is the USB plug in for controlling the unit via internet. The location is fine, but getting tue cover off really is hard and I broke some of the plastic connectors that hold it in. I used tape to hold it together. Why they didnt just using a simple small screw with a hinge is beyond me.

So far I am very satisfied with it.

Too small for Versapro probably built for mini split but well built

Fins came a little banged up, customer support didn’t seem worried though.

Ultimately I received the unit, but it took over 3 weeks and there were some missing accessory parts. I just made it work.

The mini split system I had originally ordered was out of stock with the manufacturer, Garrett immediately worked to find me an equal or greater replacement at the same cost from a top brand. My personal experience with Chill was very positive.

This unit is so quiet, I thought it wasn't working until I got close to it, both inside and outside units. When I turned it on, it started up with not a single issue. Having remote control from anywhere is great. I can start, stop, turn up temperature anywhere I am which allows me to grab a couple hours in my woodworking shop without having to wait for my wood or propane to warm up my shop. Love it.

Hooked up my 4 zone condenser last week. Whisper quiet.

Website says easy install, no experience or skill needed. Totally untrue. When I realized I could not install, they charged me half my purchase price to return and “restock”. A VERY unsatisfied customer!!!!!!

Be careful they'll send you the wrong whip electrical box which is a fire hazard

Mr cool sent me the wrong whip electrical box they telling you to use a 8 wire for the 36000 btu unit but yet they sent me a 10 wire . This is not only a fire hazard it a lack of knowledge on the salesman behalf not only did he yes me too death he almost caused my death by selling me a fire hazard electrical set up . Bottom line do your research before trusting this company and there so call expert salesman. I've ask them to reimburse me for time ive paid my electrician because of there mistake lets see what happens.

Your website states that you offer fast delivery, and that was one of the main reasons I chose your company. I also spoke with customer service, and I was told that they would narrow down a delivery date for me in November.

I still have not received a confirmed date. Please provide me with an update and a specific delivery date as soon as possible. I chose your company based on the delivery timeframe advertised on your website, and I need to know when I can actually expect my order.

Very easy to install, and it runs great

Love the DIY provision of the MRCOOL MINI-SPLIT system. Installation was a breeze and the unit works extremely well. Incredibly quiet-especially appreciated when left running during 95 degree, humid nights. The crew at ChillMiniSplits were very helpful on details. Very Satisfied!

After receiving the parts that I needed to complete the installation, the system works great. It just took some time to receive the coupling that I needed to finish the job. After a miss measurement on my part and I ordered the extra coolant I needed to complete the job. The couplings to connect the two lines never came in. In order to get the correct coupling I needed to order a complete coupling kit with the comm line. I just wanted the couplings, not the comm line. You can get the couplings for the smaller coolant lines, but not for the larger coils. It took several phone calls talking with different people and I finally had to get the entire coupling kit instead of just a couplings. This process took a couple weeks and of course, add expense for the cost of the entire kit.
